Product Designer | Low Code Developer

Glad to see you! I'm Anulika Nwankwo. I'm a Product Designer and Low Code Developer and I design for social good. I have to admit that becoming a Product designer was one of the best decisions I made and now I can't seem to get enough of educating myself on innovative ways of bringing products to market from the user research part to the development.

I'm deeply fascinated with all aspects of user experience design, user research, user journey mapping and visual design. I advocate for the user, helping to ensure that the product meets their needs and is easy to use. I carry out usability testing, and other activities to gather insights that can inform design decisions and I play a critical leadership role in the development of new products, helping to ensure that the product is user-centric, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.

Demonstrating a crucial leadership role and setting product vision and strategy is what I find meaningful, particularly in the development of new products. Being a Product designer means having a deep understanding of user needs and preferences. I offer this knowledge to help set the product vision and strategy. Creating a user-centric design culture to promote a culture of design thinking and user-centricity by encouraging stakeholders to focus on the needs of the end user and to design products that meet those needs. I find it meaningful to facilitate collaboration with cross-functional teams, helping to ensure that everyone is working towards the same goals and that the product is being designed with the user in mind.

I make many meaningful key design decisions related to the product using my expertise to ensure that the product is designed in a way that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I find it meaningful to communicate any design decisions I make to stakeholders and other team members. I use sketches, wireframes, and other visual aids to help others understand the design direction.

Strategy

Here is a glimpse of some of the design thinking strategies I have used to solve problems and inform product vision, create effective and user-centred products and more.

To achieve the product vision, I find it meaningful to help synchronize design goals with business goals,  need to ensure that my design decisions align with the overall objectives and strategies of the business.

I aim to have a clear understanding of the business objectives and strategies. which also means understanding the target audience, the competition, and the overall goals and objectives of the business.

I use research data analysis to identify the user needs by conducting extensive user research to understand the needs and preferences of the target audience which inform my design decisions so that the product meets the needs of the user while also aligning with the business goals.

I set SMART design goals that align with the business objectives. These goals are be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART), and they help me to ensure that the design decisions I make are aligned with the business goals.

I collaborate with the product stakeholders. This collaboration involves standup meetings, communication, managing timelines, and ensuring that the design meets the needs of all stakeholders.

I measure the success of the design in achieving the business goals and I do this by tracking metrics of user engagement, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction. By measuring the success of the design, I am able to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven design decisions.

By aligning my design decisions with the business goals, I'm able to create effective and engaging products that meet the needs of the user while also driving business success.
